I joined Raiders when I was 7. I have been with Raiders for over 8 years and I know that this is the place I want to be training at for the rest of my life. Teakwondo is not like any other sport. It is not like a ball game where you can pick up the ball and start shooting. Starting out might be difficult but fret not, as long as you are willing to put in the time and effort, the coaches and teammates at Raiders would definitely be more than happy to help regardless of your skill level. The reason I know why Raiders is the place where I want to be training at is the Moral Values they uphold as a school. In teakwondo lessons, we are always reminded to be respectful towards our parents, coaches and teammates. We bow to our coaches at the start and end of lessons as well as opponents at the start and end of a match signaling respect. We are always taught to be humble ; no matter how good we are, we should always be humble and treat opponents with respect. I have fought many tournaments and competitions throughout the years and one key thing I have learnt form my coaches is resilience. Even if we are losing by alot of points, we don't give up. Even if we fall, we stand up. Even if losing is the outcome, we accept it and get back in the gym to train harder for the next tournament. To me , Raiders is my second home. A place filled with people whom are passionate about the sport and would be there to help us improve further. If you are interested to pick up teakwondo as a sport, I would like to appeal to you to join Raiders Teakwondo Club. It is a decision you would never regret.

I remember I joined Raiders when I was 7 years old. Taking part in martial arts was a whole new experience for me because I did not expect myself to be learning self-defense. However, after I joined Raiders, I started to find the excitement in doing martial arts. It is not just a sport or exercise, it is something that you will remember for life, and in the face of danger, it will come in handy. Raiders has helped me to become a more persevering person. To learn martial arts, you need to have a positive mindset as you will experience many difficult situations. You need to keep trying until you succeed and feel that sense of satisfaction. Even if you want to give up, the trainers are very helpful and always give their best to make sure that you will succeed. They helped me whenever I am in doubt and I know that I can count on them when I need help.

I joined Raiders TKK when I was in primary one. I have been with Raiders for over 6 yrs and for me, TKD is not just a sport or a simple activity that you do to keep fit or safe. When I first started, everything was quite new. However, after learning and training for about a year, I found that many skills learnt can be used in everyday lives. The strength developed from training can help in our daily tasks. We build endurance when we spar with each other. Furthermore, with training, you have a better sense of security as you know that if any things were to happen, at least you have basic self-defence. TKD also trains your stamina and it really comes in useful for Napfa tests, helping me to do well and even excel. Plus, you get to make lots of friends, making training even more enjoyable than it already is. TKD will not only push your limits but it can also be a fun experience!

As a parent, I constantly worry about whether my children are equipped to handle the challenges in life. But their experience in Raiders have influenced them in many positive ways. They had learned not to give up easily and keep trying in the face of difficulties. They have learnt to handle pressure and understood the values of sportsmanship, teamwork and camaraderie as they participate and support their fellow Raiders members in national-level competitions. Being a contact sport, the Raiders coaches took special care to ensure the safety of all the students. They also thoroughly prepare the students, whether it be for grading tests or competitions. I am great faith in the Raiders team that they can deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for anyone who wants to try the sport!
